Understanding the scales that makes up the music will give you a tremendous advantage when it comes to understand improvisation, chord relations etc. Learn the scales and improve your guitar playing for life. There is no magic to this - I will just show you how to relate the different modes to a few base scales. By doing so we reduce playing the SuperLocrian to playing the Melodic Minor and Lydian to the Major scale, but in a different key. Whenever a mode can be reduced to a base scale, the base scales name will be displayed at the bottom of the screen. See the screen shots.
